There are countless claims out there that miracles can happen right out of a bottle! Well, not really, before you pay a few hundred dollars for an ounce of serum or exotic cream make sure you do your research. Some of the best anti-aging skin care products should be derive from natural ingredients and extracts. It may be wise to visit a specialty store to purchase these products and speak with a trained person who knows about the use of the product. keep in mind that the end result will be different for each person. Our age and type of skin should be a determining factor to our product purchase. If you do not have the time to spend looking into Vitamins, antioxidants and skin care then perhaps a visit on line to a unique health site would work. Tophealthspot.com is great place to shop. You will love all the name brand products along with full product advice and reviews. Yes, there are some very excellent products out there that do in turn produce some very good results, almost amazing, but the most important thing to remember is that Aging is a very complicated chemical and mental process that goes on with our body and state of mind. So the same should be said when dealing with our approach to anti-aging. A sure plan of action is extremely important for your success and should include key aspects in approaching it the right way. If you do not carefully incorporate all of these important steps, then the most expensive creams and treatments will never have the desired effect you are looking for.

A look back at the historic-and often scary-events that changed the U.S. financial system forever
BUSINESS WEEK [McGraw-Hill] - By Phil Mintz - September 19, 2008
It was the week that shook the financial world to the core. On Friday, Sept. 12, traders left the New York Stock Exchange for the weekend. But key banking officials, facing the impending failure of the venerable Lehman Brothers investment house and a shaky outlook for two other huge financial players-investment firm Merrill Lynch (MER) and insurance giant American International Group (AIG)-began a series of weekend meetings in an effort to prevent a possible collapse of the global financial system.
Over the next seven days, the nation's financial leaders, captained by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, produced a rapid succession of moves that reversed a decades-long trend toward financial deregulation and fundamentally changed the face of the American financial system. Lehman failed and Merrill was sold to Bank of America (BAC). The government took effective control of AIG in an $85 billion bailout. And, in the biggest intervention of all, officials proposed to purchase the troubled mortgage assets of financial firms, a move that could cost hundreds of billions of additional dollars.
Meanwhile, worried investors sent the stock markets into a dizzying ride of huge gains and losses.
Here's how the events unfolded:
Friday, Sept. 12: The trading week ends with the fate of 158-year-old Lehman Brothers in grave doubt. Its stock had fallen sharply due to fears over its financial condition. Paulson, Bernanke, and New York Fed President Tim Geithner begin a series of meetings in Lower Manhattan with top bankers in an effort to engineer a bailout of Lehman, which had bet heavily in the subprime mortgage market. Two possible buyers emerge: Britain's Barclays (BCS) and Bank of America.
Saturday, Sept. 13: Talks on a possible Lehman buyout continue. The would-be rescuers look to the government to take on some of the risk, as it did in the shotgun sale of Bear Stearns to JPMorgan Chase (JPM) in March and the effective nationalization on Sept. 8 of mortgage giants Fannie Mae (FNM) and Freddie Mac (FRE). Government officials hold fast that there will be no federal bailout. Talks are inconclusive.
Sunday, Sept. 14: The negotiators continue meeting, facing a deadline to act before Asian markets open for Monday morning trading. But government officials insist there will be no federal backing of a Lehman rescue. With no help from Washington forthcoming, Barclays-the only possibility left after Bank of America leaves the table-withdraws. Lehman is done for. Meanwhile, Merrill Lynch CEO John Thain, seeing the writing on the wall, arranges the sale of his company to Bank of America for about $50 billion. In one day, the fates of two storied companies are sealed.
Monday, Sept. 15: Lehman Brothers Holdings, the bank's holding company, files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and says it will try to sell key business units. Investor concern now turns to the fate of AIG, fearing a liquidity crisis. Rating agencies cut AIG's credit rating. Despite reassurances about the economy from Paulson and President George W. Bush, the stock market plummets. The Dow Jones industrial average drops more than 504 points, or 4.4%, the biggest loss since right after the September 11, 2001, terror attacks. The failure also roils overseas stocks, sending them plunging. Meanwhile, concerns about a slowing economy take oil below the psychological benchmark of $100 a barrel, its lowest level since February.
Tuesday, Sept. 16: The Federal Reserve meets and keeps the federal funds rate unchanged at 2%. Asian markets, some of which had been closed for a holiday on Monday, plummet. The Russian stock market goes into a tailspin, with the largest exchange down more than 17% before the Russian government halts trading. Managers of the Primary Fund, a supposedly supersafe money market fund, say that shares have fallen below the sacrosanct $1 valuation. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs (GS) and Morgan Stanley (MS), the two remaining independent investment banks, report stronger-than-expected results. However, investors continue to beat down the companies' shares. Amid all the turbulence, U.S. officials decide that AIG is indeed "too big to fail." In a move that would have been unthinkable before the credit crisis began, the Fed arranges to lend $85 billion to AIG in exchange for a 79.9% equity stake. The deal is announced Tuesday evening. Even before the deal is finalized, the Dow reverses an earlier loss and gains 141 points.
Wednesday, Sept. 17: The government bailout of AIG fails to stem investor fears as they flee to safety. Credit markets tighten. The New York Times reports that Washington Mutual (WM), the nation's largest thrift, has put itself up for sale. The Dow plunges 449 points.
Thursday, Sept. 18: The New York Times reports that Morgan Stanley has "stepped up" merger talks with Wachovia (WB). The Fed moves to pump money into the financial system through lending programs operated by several overseas central banks and the Fed's own moves. At the same time, the government begins action on the hugest bailout of all, committing hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to buy troubled mortgage assets from beleaguered financial institutions. As word of the evolving plan spreads, stocks rally. The Dow closes up 410 points. In the evening, Paulson and Bernanke and Securities Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox go to the U.S. Capitol to brief lawmakers on the plan, which requires congressional authorization.
Friday, Sept. 19: The buyout plan-with few firm details-is announced and stocks soar worldwide. President Bush says the move puts "a significant amount of taxpayer dollars on the line," but he says the risk of not acting "would be far higher." In additional actions, the Treasury and Fed act to guarantee the assets of money-market funds, which had been threatened by the meltdown of the financial markets, and the SEC places a temporary ban on the short-selling of nearly 799 financial stocks. The Dow closes up 368.75 points, 45 points below where it was a week earlier but still 911 points over its bottom on Thursday morning.
A momentous week indeed, but there is no sign the economic drama will limit itself to a mere seven days. Lawmakers and regulators are to work through this weekend in an effort to devise bailout plan legislation that can come to a vote next week. The bipartisan consensus surrounding the deal can come undone as the details are ironed out. But for drama, it will be hard to match events that have reshaped the U.S. financial landscape for years, if not decades to come.

Weekly, our arena team does ten matches so we can get points. Well, we used to until we got fed up with each other. We have two people on our team that are intense pessimists, always blaming everyone else if we lose. We’d start out every week with high hopes, but around match 4 or 5, after losing over and over, these two just keep pressing other people’s buttons. The arena alone is frustrating enough. Having ten people running around trying to kill each other Is insanely chaotic and half the time you don’t even really know what’s going on. Add to that two of the members that keep saying wonderful things like “We should have done etc.” and “Why are we still trying? We’re just going to lose because we suck” and it gets frustrating really quick. Luckily we had one other member on the team that stayed positive throughout the matches and kept us somewhat sane. I’ll always be thankful for that!
Since I was also part of the 5v5 team and discussing the actikns of the other players and how the matches qere going as they happened, I was able ti get an immediate unfiltered accoint fo how the plxyer felt, dhat was happening that he was reacting to, etc. The observation is as follows:
Some of the complaints I heard from the player was that there was a lack of communication between the team members, there wasnt single target focus, with so many players running around its an overload trying to keep track of who is where, what is going on and what each player is doing or should be doing.
Ti focus dirrectly on the aspects of thee game that frustrated the player. There were many which are cergain advantages that spells, ksills, or racial zbilities give to othed players that a re considered by few or many to be unfair. For example a spwkl that turns a player into a sheep, keeping them from veing able to paricipate until the spell is broken, being able to stealth iut f combat, tec. Although a well organized team and players who are aware or hw to combat these is possible, the player found tjem frustrating/annoying none theless. Prehaps knowing that a better team make up or better strategies would have eix this made the playee, even mote sl, frustrated.
Another frustrating feature of the game, was the other players ability to leave the match mid game. While in the arena the player has the option of prematurely leaving the arena and their team to either forfeit as well or be at an extreme disadvantage through the loss of the other player. Two of the team mates in Divas 5v5 team would make use of this option, leaving the arena if there were any sign that the match wasnt in the teams favor such as another team mate dying, the whole team having low health, or the opposing team having an extreme advantage in gear level. For Diva and the two players who stayed in the match until they legitemately lost, this was a huge frustration and the main reason Diva had abandoned playing in 5v5 teams in the past.

A TOXIC MESS
Shes just a natural. When I said let Sarah be Sarah, this is what I meant.
I THINK
This will be called a draw, if it keeps going like this.
SHOULD SHE HAVE SAID
Straight up when talking about gay marriage?
She got applause at the Susan B. Anthony Fund for her marriage answer. m not sure she is clear on McCains civil union position.
DID I HEAR WRONG?
Biden was for gay marriage before he was against it? Like tonight? I may have misheard.
I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE CASE
Biden mislead on coal. From the McCain campaign:
Joe Biden Said That He Didnt Support Clean Coal And Said No Coal Plants Here In America. PERSON: Senator, Senator, wind and solar are flourishing here in Ohio, so why are you supporting clean coal? BIDEN: Say I didnt hear what you said. PERSON: Wind and solar are flourishing here in Ohio, so why are you supporting clean coal? BIDEN: re not supporting clean coal. Guess what. Chinas building two every week. Two dirty coal plants. And its polluting the United States. Its causing people to die. PERSON: So will you support wind and solar? BIDEN: Absolutely. Before anybody did. The first guy to introduce a global warming bill was me, 22 years ago. The first guy to support solar energy was me, 26 years ago. It came out of Delaware. But guess what. China is gonna burn three hundred years of bad coal unless we figure out how to clean their coal up. Because its going to ruin your lungs and theres nothing we can do about it. No coal plants here in America. Build them, if theyre going to build them over there make em clean because theyre killing you. (Joe Biden, Remarks, Maumee, OH, 9/17/08)
A WHITE FLAG OF SURRENDER
That took guts.
THE HONOR YOU SHOW OUR MILITARY
Smart.
GOD LOVE HIM BUT HES DEAD WRONG
I must say Biden is being Senator Discipline tonight save for a sigh.
IF PEOPLE VOTE ON IRAQ
they may be really attracted to Biden after this debate.
I DONT THINK PEOPLE WILL VOTE ON IRAQ.
The JOKe WILL BE
Sarah can teach John how to saw Ahmadinijad.
HENRY KISSINGER
has a passion for foreign policy.
OUR RESPECT FOR WOMENS RIGHTS
Biden, damn the chick is using the chick card. Damn.
OH!!!
Obama wouldnt meet with the mullahs. Okay, then. Israel aint worried now.
SPAIN
Biden REALLY means that.
IRAN ON THE MARCH
Biden almost sounds like he could go Hillary hawkish. Dont think he talked to Obama about that.
NEVER AGAIN
We all love Israel. Will Barack tell Mahmoud?
FOX NEWS
Has their text message poll in Blue for Biden and Pink for Palen. For real.
Im STILL THINKING
They call this a draw. But who the happy warrior is is no question.
MY TIMES ALMOST UP
Im shocked it took this long.
THERE HE GOES, SIGHING AT THE WOMAN AGAIN
Feminists would get ticked if they didnt hate her.
Its REALLY ANNOYING
When Biden says let me say that again. Like the gun clingers cant follow his brilliance.
IS OBAMA IN THAT MUCH TROUBLE IN INDIANA?
Dick Lugar is the star of the show tonight.
MAN, ItS SO CLEAR IM A WASHINGTON STRATEGY
You voted for the war and then Oh boy. I believe she calls that going after the good ole boys.
TAKING THE POLITICS OUT OF THESE WAR ISSUES
People are REALLY for that.
PRESIDENT JOHN MCCAIN WOULD BE A NATIONAL TRAGEDY?!?
Okay, we dont have a flair for the dramatic.
BIDEN
Has my SBA Fund crowd ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING.
WAS BIDEN
First elected to the Senate
EVERYTHING SOME OF US HAVE BEEN SAYING ABOUT SARAH PALINS GOOD INSTINCTS
Appears to be true and on display tonight.
GO, SARAH, GO!
It will amaze me if McCain doesnt flip on Alaska drilling. If he wins because of her, hell have to.
SAY IT AINT SO JOE
We knew that would come.
HER REWARD IS IN HEAVEN
Palin just won the teacher vote. UNIONS BE DAMNED.
EXTRA CREDIT FOR WATCHING THIS DEBATE
She just near won a teachers union head.
CHENEY. DANGEROUS. DIRE.
Did he just downgrade the office of the vice president? t it IN THE CONSTITUTION? You cant just unilaterally change that in St. Louis.
I THINK THIS IS TRUE.
An e-mail: Gov. Palin is just preposterously charming! (Yes, my wife knows I said
that.) Shes really on her game and certainly has passed the see her as
President test but its that hometown flair that lights up the screen.
Biden has swerved wildly from forceful to tart to unnervingly treacly to
...as is per usual.
SHES EXCELLENT WHEN SHE TALKS ABOUT HEALTH CARE
She should make this one of her issues to talk about his health-care plan. McCain doesnt enough. She does it well. Just get the details down and weave it into your personal story.
IS THE MCCAIN-PALIN TICKET
For reform?
EXCESSIVE PASSION
Ill never look at Joe Biden the same again.
WHO EVER SAID
Joe Biden didnt know how to raise children alone?
MAVERICK
Should have been the drinking game for tonight.
PALINS PROBLEM
Is she doesnt have thorough substantive comebacks. I dont think it will matter to people. It will matter to MSNBC. Theyre not people. Theyre left-wingbots.
TURPITUDE
I expected Palin to outburst and exclaim: SAT word! more teacher points!
LIHEAP?
I bet they talk about that at the Wasilla kitchen tables.
NOT CARING WHO GETS THE CREDIT FOR ONE
I believe I have a Ronald Reagan quote along those lines on a paperweight. Methinks the Great Communicator phrase will be used again.

Rainbow Room, NYC Minus some time I may have spent threatening to jump. But then I realized Im at the top of the Rock and that would have hurt bad.

Did you know that over 35 milion Americans suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and not many of these seek SAD therapy?. This is partly because they are not really aware of the problem or through laziness or ignorance. They are also ignorant about SAD light therapy which offers relief and means you do not have to take anti-depressants. Once fall comes around, I am never without my SAD lamp!
Some of the symptoms of SAD include tiredness, irritability and depression. the phenomenon occurs through fall and winter when the lack of sunshine is at an all time low. What is the cause of this condition ? The lack of natural light causes too much melatonin (a sleep hormone) and that in turn leads to sleepiness and low spirits generally. Melatonin is great for getting to sleep but if it is produced during daylight hours, then sufferers become lethargic and depressed. It can also lead to bulimia, loss of concentration and insomnia. In addition people who suffer from SAD tend to isolate themselves and a decline in work output is common. Light therapy is usually the best remedy (eg. a light therapy lamp) although there are medications too that can be taken.
Although it occurs during winter mostly, when days are shorter generally and northern latitiudes tend to have higher incidence of this condition. There are patterns too in gender and age- for example the younger female population are more likely to need sad therapy.
Some sufferers will opt for medications with all the consequent side effects. This blog will deal with natural remedies for sad therapy and in particular with light therapy concentrating on the various sad lights available and also the other conditions that can benefit from this type of treatment.
Basically light therapy will consist in producing the rays of the sun at home or in the office but a special type of light or SAD lamp needs to be purchased. When subjects are exposed to this light, a biochemical change occurs in their brain causing their spirits to lift and creating a sense of well being.
In the next few posts we shall be looking at how SAD light therapy works on the brain in more detail and how it can also be of great help in jet lag for instance.

Talking about depression lately, and here I am...a sad little rat.
I have been in the dumps for the past few days because I didn't get the Raleigh job due to not having "experience" with adolescents. If I hear the "no experience" line one more time, I might have to pull a Nancy Botwin: Find a pool, dive and scream as loud as I can. I am so frustrated with this, it's not even funny. She let me know I was a strong candidate and my references were strong, but lost the position to someone who has already worked in the State system with adolescent psychiatry experience...Atleast she let me know that I am already an option for the 2 new positions she is posting this week, and I don't have to do the paperwork b/c it's already done...but I am not holding my breath. I talked to the lady from Morganton and she told me she will let me know next week if I got the job or not (not as convenient location, but I'll take what I can get). If I come out of this with no job, I am just going to move out of Adam's house and make friends with homeless people and live in a ditch for a while. I have never failed at anything (for the most part- happy go lucky), so this is taking a major blow to my sense of self. I can honestly say I did well at these interviews-again being honest. Perhaps I need to take note from the slimebag manipulators of this world (I happen to know a few) who seem to be so good at interviews.
I went to this interview for some shady selling job and I was paired with another girl- I obviously could never do any type of selling because I am much too blunt and honest, and have difficulty purposely manipulating the other person's thoughts. Anyways, this girl was ridiculous- she sold herself with no humility or modesty. It was almost sickening listening to her. I think I rolled my eyes a few times. I can't do it- too much humility (that's what Jesus would have wanted- right?).
So I have been rejected once thus far, but there's still hope- Morganton and the Central Regional Hospital new job postings...
With this shitty economy and everyone screaming doomsday, I am getting a wee bit anxious about my situation. I make decent money bartending/serving, but I rely on other's incomes for my tips. If the economy fails, I end up broke. I am very anxious to apply for OT and PT at Western next year...There's some hope to hold on to for the next 6-8 months anyways...until I am rejected (sorry for the pessimism)... I have a 3.5/4.0 GPA...which is good, but still makes me nervous competing with so many others.
Aughhhhh- why has my happy go lucky streak ended? WHY!!!
Hopefully I can look back on this post with a smile and a sense of relief in years time. Please...please...
Please pray for me, or send a wish to the North Star- anything!!!
Isn't it curious to move from home to a foreign place where you surround yourself with people you spent time with at home anyways? What's the fun in that? People going to Australia only to surround themselves with Canadians, and Canadian culture. People leaving small towns to bigger ones only to surround themselves with people who share their same hometown. Moving isn't just about getting up and moving your belongings, finding a new apartment etc. It's about placing yourself in the unknown and relying solely on yourself for survival. Yes, it's nice to have a friend close by but to truly travel and grow personally you must experience challenge and risk. Vacations don't interest me. That's what I am trying to do, anyways...eventually I'll find the job/ money to do it! And actually, I like vacations and wish I could just fly to Germany right now and use the extra room my mother has at her beautiful little apartment in Leipzig. You hearing this mother? Wouldn't it be great if I can learn German like Ellen? Please? JK- I know it takes hard work to get to live luxuriously. I am still a young pup learning the hardships of adulthood, and shouldn't be moaning and complaining because I have it pretty good still.
Well, hopefully a more optimistic, happy post to come full of good news.
